Falling on the cold shores of willingness won't vindicate your chartreuse, Rik. For that, you must freshen the sails of the whittling bellies. Only then will you truly barter the vehement undertow.
Verbatim from the mouth of Jesus (retranslated from a retranslation of a copy of a copy):

"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you too will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. How can you see your brother's head up his ass when your own vision is darkened by your head being even further up your ass? How can you say to your brother, 'Get your head out of your ass,' when all the time your head is up your own ass? You hypocrite! First take your head out of your own ass, and then you will see clearly who has his head up his ass and who doesn't." Matthew 7:1-5 (also Luke 6: 41-42)

This means to realize that you are God.

According to yoga God can not do two things.
One is to create an other God and the other is to hate anyone.
Why he can not hate anyone?

If God according to yoga hated anyone it would be hating a manifestation of itself.

So what about NDEs in relation to the  Andanda Marga teachings about death?

Correct.
That is why it is impossible for God to hate anyone.

I never heard Sarkar talking about NDEs.
Not because NDEs are not real but because they have to be related to individual experiences.
What is necessary for one can not be necessary for other.
Some people need a longer stay in this dimension so they can do more work.
Other people need a new body to continue their journey to the goal of life so there is no need
for them to go through an NDE teaching.
As far as i understand in case of a normal death without NDE our consciousness
sort of hang out in the cosmos waiting to enter a suitable body which could be anything from
human body, animal body, or a plant or even pure matter according to our karma.
NDE are different.
Some people can still do some more work before a change of body is needed.
But we also have to consider those who are ready to merge in the ocean of cosmic consciousness
who don't need an NDE or a rebirth.
So is not that everybody follow a certain direction.
We are all different that is why a different approach is needed for everybody.
Now the question remain.
Why i do believe in NDEs?
Because most of them are in line with Sarkar teaching.  Worship

There's also another thing to consider here.

Little Rik Wrote:Humans acquire free will and with free will you may do mistakes.
We all do.

If all humans are manifestations of God, all mistakes are ultimately God's mistakes in the physical universe.

I find it an interesting exercise imagining that everything really is God because it puts a completely different perspective on things.  For example, I've had measles, chickenpox, colds and flu during the course of my life. All the viruses which caused those illnesses were manifestations of God.

I just wish that God would stop manifesting as dust on the furniture.  Tongue

I think the content of NDEs is important here.  They are life changing experiences for many people.  According to Ananda Marga, a unit mind without a body is dormant so can't learn anything else until it acquires a new body.  If this is true it's logical to assume that someone having an NDE is still in their body.

Scientific discovery throughout history has started to slowly chip away at society's need for a god to explain where lightning comes from, why there is disease, and so on. Currently, we have enough evidence for the big bang, evolution, and many other mechanisms that brought about our existence to render religion obsolete. Sadly, no matter how much evidence science provides that suggests there is no need for a god, society will still cling to the comfort of a sky buddy.

2. If you truly research the mechanisms of the cosmos and learn more about our natural world you will draw further from believing in a supernatural deity -- assuming you believe in one in the first place. At first, coming from a former christian, you will find ways to place god into science. One might postulate that if evolution and the big bang hold valid, as they do, then god must have been the cause behind the big bang. However, once you truly learn about quantum mechanics, you will dismiss this notion. Eventually, you will find that you do not believe in god. There in lies your answer. Science is about testable observations of the natural world. Religion is nothing of the sort. So no there is no NEED to choose between the two, but I guarantee that the more you learn about science the less you will believe in a god.

RE: Atheism the unscientific believe.
The topic has now included the Big Bang Theory.

I've read a lot of articles about the Big Bang theory and found one which sums everything up very concisely.  I was interested to discover that the website is run by people who consider themselves to be followers of Jesus.'

Big Bang Theory - The Overview

Quote:Big Bang Theory - The Premise

The Big Bang theory is an effort to explain what happened at the very beginning of our universe. Discoveries in astronomy and physics have shown beyond a reasonable doubt that our universe did in fact have a beginning. Prior to that moment there was nothing; during and after that moment there was something: our universe. The big bang theory is an effort to explain what happened during and after that moment.

According to the standard theory, our universe sprang into existence as "singularity" around 13.7 billion years ago. What is a "singularity" and where does it come from? Well, to be honest, we don't know for sure. Singularities are zones which defy our current understanding of physics. They are thought to exist at the core of "black holes." Black holes are areas of intense gravitational pressure. The pressure is thought to be so intense that finite matter is actually squished into infinite density (a mathematical concept which truly boggles the mind). These zones of infinite density are called "singularities." Our universe is thought to have begun as an infinitesimally small, infinitely hot, infinitely dense, something - a singularity. Where did it come from? We don't know. Why did it appear? We don't know.

After its initial appearance, it apparently inflated (the "Big Bang"), expanded and cooled, going from very, very small and very, very hot, to the size and temperature of our current universe. It continues to expand and cool to this day and we are inside of it: incredible creatures living on a unique planet, circling a beautiful star clustered together with several hundred billion other stars in a galaxy soaring through the cosmos, all of which is inside of an expanding universe that began as an infinitesimal singularity which appeared out of nowhere for reasons unknown. This is the Big Bang theory.

If you want to have some fun, look up alternatives to the Big Bang Theory.

No Big Bang? Quantum equation predicts universe has no beginning

And -

3 Theories That Might Blow Up the Big Bang

This is my personal favourite alternative theory.

Physicists May Have Evidence Universe Is A Computer Simulation

So, the reason why many people still believe in a supernatural deity is because science doesn't have all the answers.
