DEBUNKING THE CONSPIRACY THEORY
RE: DEBUNKING THE CONSPIRACY THEORY
Anthony Flew was raised Methodist and converted to deism, not christianity (afaik).

What's funny - and I'm sure you will appreciate the humor in this - is that in a democratic country, where christians proudly proclaim themselves a majority, to the point of calling themselves a "christian nation" - devout christians, like yourself have to resort to throwing childish tantrums against things they don't approve of (like gay marriage, or teaching of evolution) - because they're incapable of getting their way through democratic process, ruled by majority. Now, THAT's irony.

Uhm, perhaps it could be the only cake shop in town? Not all the gays live in San Francisco, you know. And if it's not a cake shop - it's something else, . If you allow bigots of whatever profession to discriminate - that'll just lead to segregation. Keep your bigotry in church.

Yeah... Why didn't black people simply choose "black" universities, restaurants and drinking fountains, right?

Apology accepted.

Of all the people currently active in this forum, rob, I predict you are the one MOST likely to accept Christianity at some point in your life.

FWIW.

Haha You don't know our valuable rob very well, do you?

But I do like that phrase "accept Christianity". Kind of like buying a house as is, sight unseen. Notice the phrases you could have used, but didn't: "understand Christianity", "come to the logical conclusion of Christianty". No, "accept Christianty" is more fitting.
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:

"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."

For context, this is the previous verse:

"Hi Jesus" -robvalue

I assume Randy meant it as a compliment, so I'll take it as such.

But I'm afraid he is way off there. I'd have to have a complete personality/critical thinking breakdown to ever bow to a whole system of superstition. The idea of worship itself is also obscene to me. I wouldn't do it even if I thought christanity had any significant truth.

This goes for all religions (except FSM of course, the only logical god).

What, you mean the 'human equality' agenda? It's not just exclusive to the LGBTQQIAAP community you know. Bigotry and discrimination must be opposed by the law in any civilised society. I guess that would make your vision of christian theocracy uncivilised.

Are they being rewarded financially by the courts? Are they just engaging in their own brand of civil rights activism like refusing to sit in the back of the bus?

Weddings are stressful enough without this hassle...why don't gay couples just choose gay florists and avoid the media circus?

Yeah, all these new-fangled ideas watering down the true gospel.

I can't remember the last time I went to a good heretic burning...of course, neither can anyone else in the last, oh, I dunno, four hundred years or so. [Image: rolleyes.gif]

In an ironic twist of history, however, gay atheists can now legally punish people (bakers and florists and others) who refuse to participate in their pagan wedding celebrations.

How evil of those homosexuals to punish bakers and florists by complaining about being persecuted by the bakers and florists.

Did Jesus exist or not?

No.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

I still don't know how naturalistic causes for the resurrection can be ruled out, if scientists can't actually study Jesus' resurrected body. Damn, that sounds erotic.  Jesus
