Around eleven years, and no, I will not share the plans to my time machine.

Jumped right in. Saw the intro forum and did a post right quick like.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Maybe 5 minutes? I did a search for atheist forums, did a quick comparison between a few of the top results, and decided that the people here were better.

Just did a quick google search for people I can relate to and went to the first recommended site...

Like many others, googled "atheist forum", this was the first hit. Joined, posted my intro, and then became mod.

I fail to see the difficulty in any of the listed steps Sleepy

Care to link that if it's still available? I'm insanely curious about the first signs of activity this site ever saw.

I too found this site by searching google for atheist forums. I checked out a few forums, including this one, but then bailed and only decided on this one and joined after a few months.

I started posting instantly. I had a few hundred posts after only a couple of days, if I remember correctly, so I guess I liked the site well enough. I toned it down a little after I hit a thousand. A big chunk of those are Mafia related though.

I'm still trying to fit in, oddly enough. Or maybe I just hope to change the environment, lest it be the other way around.
