I'm still an atheist but I ran out of cookies and milk.
So I'm a sad atheist.
Edit: Randy, quite frankly you're boring. You haven't said anything anybody doesn't already know, but seem to think your words have much more grandeur than the myriad of Christians/Catholics/Etc that have gone before you.
You want to impress me? Post a thread: "I'm still a Catholic but ... has a good point"
Maybe, only maybe, might you then become more than comic relief.
I reject your reality and substitute my own!

Can't recall any at the moment, but I'm sure you've made a good point about something somewhere in the forum probably several good points. However the title of this thread suggests that your point was about the existence of god. In that regard, no I haven't seen anything like a good point. What I've seen is rehashing of old arguments and often quotation of the scripture and worse yet of the catechism as if it proved anything about the supernatural.
If you don't mind, I'd like to reverse the question.
Is there anything anyone has said on this forum that has caused you to have the tiniest doubt about the existence of god?
Failing that, have you gained a better understanding of why atheists do not believe in god, i.e. lack of demonstrable evidence?
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god. If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.

I'm still an atheist but ... I have to admit that Randy made a good point when he admitted he might have made a mistake when he decided to plagiarize in the service of his efforts to indoctrinate us into his mindset. I think he might have begun to give some thought to saving his own soul when he considered the price of inauthenticity.

... that vertical impact crushers are superior to horizontal impact crushers for certain applications.
The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

Good idea Jenny. I'd like to do that too and ask Randy to complete this sentence starter:
"You may be a bunch of hell-bound atheists but some of you have made some good points, for example .."

What kind of a masochist starts a thread like this?
Verbatim from the mouth of Jesus (retranslated from a retranslation of a copy of a copy):
"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you too will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. How can you see your brother's head up his ass when your own vision is darkened by your head being even further up your ass? How can you say to your brother, 'Get your head out of your ass,' when all the time your head is up your own ass? You hypocrite! First take your head out of your own ass, and then you will see clearly who has his head up his ass and who doesn't." Matthew 7:1-5 (also Luke 6: 41-42)

I can't remember if I disagree with this or not, but I'm pretty sure it's a bad point.
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:
"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."
For context, this is the previous verse:
"Hi Jesus" -robvalue

I couldn't help myself
"Every luxury has a deep price. Every indulgence, a cosmic cost. Each fiber of pleasure you experience causes equivalent pain somewhere else. This is the first law of emodynamics [sic]. Joy can be neither created nor destroyed. The balance of happiness is constant.
Fact: Every time you eat a bite of cake, someone gets horsewhipped.
Facter: Every time two people kiss, an orphanage collapses.
Factest: Every time a baby is born, an innocent animal is severely mocked for its physical appearance. Don't be a pleasure hog. Your every smile is a dagger. Happiness is murder.
Vote "yes" on Proposition 1321. Think of some kids. Some kids."
