Alright, lol. I'm not trying to get anyone to believe in it, just wanted to make sure yall understood what I believe in so I wouldn't have to keep explaining it in threads when people ask me questions.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

CL, you know by now that there's nothing too sacred on this forum that we won't milk for comedy. Because we're a fun bunch of heathens.

I guess for me the niggling little difference in people's description of their hell or heaven is not that important. I know that some Atheists sort of focus on the small details of someone's belief to try to find some sort of inconsistency. To me I think it doesn't matter what type of hell you believe in. Who cares. The reasons for the invention of the idea is obvious, to gain more converts in early times when an afterlife was always believed in. Believe in our God or suffer. Your variation on that is so slight that it doesn't really matter to me.

I had a nightmare once where I truly believed in was in some sort of hell. It didn't take the normal form, it was a very simple kind of mental torment which I honestly felt was never going to end. I've never been so relieved to wake up.

Thank you my friend
It was absolutely terrifying. If I was a superstitious sort, it probably would have driven me into the nearest church to beg not to be sent there.
It's screwed up how much my brain is willing to torment me with artificial scenarios. I actually get the feeling it is experimenting on itself, so to speak. I've had loads of dreams where I do something stupid, while seemingly having no control over myself. This has ranged from bricking a window to drowning someone. It then gives me back control (or so it seems in the dream) and sees how I would handle being in that situation. I am mostly confused because these are things I know I would never do, yet I have apparently done them. I no longer know myself and am at a loss how to proceed.

Lol, just because it's inappropriate to wear just a bikini in certain places (including the mall, the movie theater, the grocery store, your inlaw's house party, etc), doesn't mean the Church teaches that wearing a bikini is a sin. I use one all the time at the beach, the pool, or anywhere else that involves swimming.
My wife has taken to wearing bathing suits that would have been considered modest in the Victorian era. Three kids has ruined her body according to her, (it hasn't).

Make sure you let her know that! I have twins and triplets, and afterward I lost the weight pretty fast. A lot of people were like "Oh my god, you are so lucky you can lose the weight so quick!" But for a long time I still felt like I hadn't lost any weight at all. It took a lot of reassuring before I felt like myself again.
Back on the subject of Hell, though. I stopped believing in god when it started interfering with my enjoyment of life. The fear of hell can be so restricting. You follow the laws of god, and are worried every time you step out of line. Once i let go of that fear, I was able to enjoy myself much more.
