Regarding this subject, a woman came into our workplace and was breastfeeding her baby with her breast bared for all to see. This is a liberal store that caters to wacky health nuts, and no doubt this woman was doing what she did as a form of protest that the news has been covering lately. However, this is also a public place of business and certain rules still apply: no shirt, no service, for example. I am uncertain if she was informed that she had to cover up or leave, I did not ask around, but decency toward others should have informed her that it would have been better to cover her breast and the baby with a light blanket at least. After all, not everyone wants to see a naked breast, no matter how natural breastfeeding is.

granted, I know damn little about breastesses, but, don't they work better if they're warm ? IOW, if nursing a kid, and a cool breeze wafts over the equipment if there isn't a blankey or something to intercept it, doesn't the plumbing seize up a bit ?

Actually cold would plump up the nipple so it'd probably be easier

I think most of you can probably guess what old Redbeard's opinion is on this matter, but just in case some of you are newer than others...
I think feeding a kid is totally normal, and I think expecting women to feed their kids under a curtain or out of sight (especially in the bathroom) is honestly kind of barbaric. If somebody attaches offense/sexualization to women breast feeding in public, I'd say it's something that person needs to address within themselves rather than bothering the mother about it.
