This whole thread just shows the intolerance of tolerance. People have a right to freedom of speech and expression. You don't have to like what they say and vice versa, but you are both equally allowed to express it. Censorship does no one any good. Randy it sounds like what you want already exists in the Debate forum. If you want serious back and forth discussion with agreed to rules, that it the definition of a debate and should be put in to the debate section and moderated. Outside of that forum, it's not right to censor or limit freedom of expression for anyone.
My suggestion is continue to raise your threads in the Christian forum (the place for discussing Christianity) and if you find yourself engaged with someone of an opposing view and the thread is being derailed by others, kindly ask your opposing partner if they would like to take it to PM or moderated in the debate forum. That is the reason these exist. I've had several discussions via PM regarding theological or other views so that it's not derailed in a thread or I feel I need to engage 10 people at once. There is nothing wrong with it and you still get a valuable discussion.
We are not made happy by what we acquire but by what we appreciate.

Yeah, this "God" is so powerless it can't even take offence by itself.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

If someone is only interested in talking to a handful of people, I'd say it would be best to do so via PMs or a chat group message on Facebook or msn messenger etc.

The problem that Randy has with the system as is is that he's lost all credibility here, and without some serious bridge building, no one is going to take anything he says seriously.
It's either treat people and the discussion with respect or just force everyone to take him seriously, and I don't think he's capable of the former.

I eagerly await his inevitable, "See? You all merely proved my point!" post. I'm all a-tingle in anticipation.

Waitaminute here. I just had an idea. Make a subforum in the depths of christianity and call it "Randy's Great Apologetics" and make him the only allowed to post. On the other hand, exclude said forum from the auto search functions like todays posts, my posts etc. Shouldn't be hard to do..
There, everyone is happy.
