As I already said. As far as any scripted god goes, I know I am right, because they're all entirely human in nature. And they don't compute with what we know about the universe, the earth and it's biology.
It only reads agnostic under my avatar because I can't rule out a superior being or consciousness with 100 percent certainty.

I have no hopes one way or the other regarding any alleged deities.
I do think I'm right regarding their nonexistence.

I'd like to answer your question, but I find the the fact that you quote-mined, using members' names and responses to another thread to start your own slightly off-putting. You seem to have a knack for writing and self-expression, so I'm not sure why you did that.

It seems I made errors of judgment. I had no intention of editing quotes to misrepresent the positions of those whom I quoted. I felt that if I gave full quotes it would create a text wall out out of an already long post.I have nothing but respect for the people that I quoted and I truly believed that the parts are preserved represented the point made by the person.it's a bit late for me to retract and/or make corrections.

I know I'm right. It's not about proving a positive or negative. I'ts knowing that it's nothing. It's knowing that the fairy tale is just a fairy tale and does not exist.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

Of course I hope I am right. I hope I am right every time I make a judgement or express myself. Doesn't meanbthat I am right, I am human and fallible meaning that I am often subject to being wrong. In fact I hate being wrong so much that I submit to correction whenever I am found to be wrong and have aligned my worldview in the way that is least wrong so far as I can tell with the tools available to me.

In fact, my way to atheism started out with thinking, god can't be such a prick. In school and through my father I learned about the age of the universe, dinosaurs and our descent from great apes. That did it. So, yes, I'm sure, and I don't waste my time, effort and joy in life on something that's wrong no matter how you look at it.

I'm fairly confident the Christian God does not exist. Do I want the Christian God to exist? Absolutely not. The Bible makes him out to be quite the sociopath. I know that Christians don't see it that way. But I'd hate to imagine people burning in hell for eternity. Especially the many people that would.
Would I like to be wrong? I mean the world is a pretty harsh place. What sort of deity would create a world like this? Where children die of diseases, hunger, and various other maladies. What kind of deity says "Cancer. That's a good idea." Even if Sin is the reason for these things, that's a big messed up. Especially since children get cancer.
Sure an eternal afterlife sounds nice. But only if it's both enjoyable, and something where you know people aren't suffering elsewhere for being gay, not believing in god, or having sex before marriage. So I guess it'd be nice to be wrong about there being no afterlife, but right about there being no judgmental god.
