Internet speed, 2015

I'm in Korea, which is supposed in theory to have among the fastest internet speeds.
Here's my speed at about $40/month, completely unlimited bandwidth, unchoked, no p2p throttling, etc. Just straight-up DVD-in-1-minute speed. I'm very curious if anyone in the US or elsewhere can match it.

No, I can't. Rural area. I'm lucky to reach 600kbs.

Mine is below, but a disclaimer because I'm a satisfied Verizon customer: I pay for 70Mbps, and usually get these speeds with no issues, however I'm on my laptop, about a room and a half away from the WiFi access point, and it's almost 9pm in the evening, so plenty of people are probably using the network. On a wired connection during work hours, I usually get above 70Mbps (often hit 80).

I get 50-70Mbs down 10-25Mbs up routinely. Bundled with a mid-level cable package it's about a hundred USD/mo.
I'd like faster but I'm not willing to pay much more than I am now, and in any case, it's pretty unlikely we'll get fiber any time soon.

Doubt it. Comcast looks like this around here:
Incidentally, this result is more indicative of the speed of my 2.4GHz wireless network than my internet connection. Wired is faster, so's the 5GHz wireless band.
