I came off too strong after I read that back to myself. I am sorry for that. Oops.(October 17, 2015 at 7:04 am)Blondie Wrote: Yes, I get the point. I am not a nut job either. Transcendentalists are not Christians. Two completely different deals.
Well, I actually said that theists are transcendentalists, not the other way round, but I did use the wrong word. Brain-fart, sorry. I meant - idealists.

I wouldn't. As long as you and your beliefs stay out of my business - I don't care what you believe.

It's a good point, most of us at least are not trying to stop you having whatever beliefs you want, if you're not hurting anyone.
We are just explaining why we aren't convinced that you hold them for rational reasons. Feel free to send me a private message.

As far as belief again either you believe and have faith or you don't. If you don't then you are an atheist if you choose not to have the faith that it takes to believe. Even I have my beliefs or faith, religion or not also comes down to your personal opinions, beliefs, etc. No one can be convinced that He (Christian God) does exist no more than atheists can convince Christians that He doesn't exist. I appreciate the conversation. I do enjoy it. We can't learn from each other unless we can talk to each other. Thanks all for your opinions. I say what out of ignorance? The heart pumps blood?
Beliefs are not a matter of choice, you believe or you don't. I can't choose to believe in God any more than I can choose to believe I can fly. http://youtu.be/ZXB5_DQNct8 Feel free to send me a private message.

Right. Your religion is special, the rest are fake.
They all say that. Why should I believe you and not them? Feel free to send me a private message.

Remember, the argument is not “The Bible is the Word of God because it says it is.” Rather, the argument is “The Bible is the Word of God because it says it is and any alternative leads to absurdity.” It’s this last part of the argument that closes the loopholes and provides the proof that the Bible really is what it claims to be, whereas counterfeit religious books fall short. The alternative that it's mostly fictional, loosely based on some historical events, presents no problems at all.
The mistake is assuming that one of those books must be true. Feel free to send me a private message.
