Would you want to play a Sim game with everyone acting the same? Where's the fun in that?

But I'm jumping a train I wanted to miss. There we go again, bickering over god. That's why theists always keep saying, we're angry at god, since we're talking about him as if he was real. God is only the masturbation of his followers.

The intention of such statements as I posted above, is only to get theists to recognize the absurdity of their beliefs, if they are claiming their god has the 'omni' attributes.

Maybe from now on, to make it clearer, I should always put "god" in quotes, in order to clarify I am talking about the "god" they are claiming exists. Not that I am arguing against said "god's" behavior, rules or policies.

Of course things that do not exist, can not be the cause of anything.

You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.

This comeback works best if you happen to be lighting a blowtorch or a flamethrower at the time.

She doesn't need to, Skel.  Surgeons can set people on fire and make it look like an accident ('Gosh, Inspector, I suppose my electric cautery may have come in contact with Mr. Religion's surgical drapes.  Oopsie....')

Come to think of it, a surgeon might not admit the patient is on fire at all. 'We think you may be on fire, Mr. Shannon, but we won't know for sure until we fly in the specialist from Koala Purundi to have a look at you.'

They discourage us from directly cutting open patients to find the fault.

Though, if we acted more like mechanics...
