Believe me, I would like to get along too. I'm glad to see people trying to make amends.

Well sometimes it's important to reach out and be the bigger person. Aroura kicks ass for doing so.

I'm going to just try to tiptoe around this one, I was baffled by this whole thread and I must have read over the entire thing at least 5 times last night. It was fun to read. That is all.

Why not going back to crying like a little bitch because people over the internet you've insulted don't show you some respect for fuck sake.
My guess is you're a virgin, which would be so wonderfully ironic.
As for feminists, I get a along with them just fine, as long as they can deepthroat like a champ, don't mind the odd playful slap and make a mean roast dinner.

To be perfectly honest he's just started to be honest and now you say this. I would laugh at the virgin joke if I hadn't felt so bad about being a virgin until I was 25 myself, thinking I was undesirable and now I realized I just lacked confidence and missed opportunites. If he's a virgin so fucking what? Nothing to be ashamed of and I was an idiot to ever feel bad about it myself.
Just saying. Besides the profile says the guy is only 21 so if he had sex tomorrow for the first time he'd still be 4 years ahead of me. If you're gonna make an offensive joke make it funny and not about something personal that is nothing anyone should ever feel bad about.

There's always someone will get offended at a joke chief, that's generally the way of a joke. The comment wasn't directed at you at all, so, with all the good will in the world. Get over it.

I know it wasn't directed at me I just didn't find it funny and it seemed more like an attack at someone who'd seemed to have just started making an effort to be decent, and I was concerned it was gonna fuck everything up after the atmosphere had got nicer again.
And yeah, I have got over it, that's what I was saying. I was just sharing how I can empathize with virgins and I don't see what's funny about taking the piss out of someone for it just as I don't see what's funny about taking the piss out of someone for being overweight, or homosexual or anything else. And the "Joke" also seemed to lack substance.
If you had said "If he was overweight that would be so ironic" or "if he was a homosexual that would be so ironic" or "if he was actually female that would be so ironic" or "if he was a sex addict that would be so ironic" or "if he was black that would be so ironic" I wouldn't find it funny, and I don't see how it being "virgin" that you said makes it any more funny. The "joke" itself lacks substance.
I mean I'm sorry I didn't find the "joke" amusing and I found it offensive. Surely you expect someone to be offended since you say someone is always going to be offended? So with all due respect, get over it

Well, of course it wouldn't have been ironic as it wasn't the overweight, homosexuals or anyone other group he was railing against. it was women. Which is why my light hearted poke of fun was made about him being a virgin.....which would have been wonderfully ironic were it to be true.
I don't honestly care whether you found it amusing or not mate, honestly. That isn't to be nasty or horrible, it's just the way of humour. Some people will chortle, some won't. Some will choose to take offence, some won't.
I ain't the one complaining dude, I'm about as over it as a man can be. :-)

I got the point of the joke but even if the reason he was a virgin was because he was a misogynistic prick, the virgin part wouldn't be anything to make fun of - it would be the misogyny part.

I don't expect you to, and I honestly don't care whether you don't agree with my response.

I know your intentions were for humor, I was just saying my piece and how I felt about it. I didn't choose to feel offended, I just felt offended just as I am offended by some racist jokes or homophobic jokes too.
Quote:I ain't the one complaining dude, I'm about as over it as a man can be. :-)
I'm over it too, like I said I'm just saying my piece. So you aren't complaining that I disagree with you here and that I feel the way I feel? Ok well if that's the case then that's cool and let's just leave it at that then and move on.
You're entitled to your opinion and you're entitled to your joke, and I'm entitled to my opinion and entitled to my response and how I feel about your joke. Fair enough?
