Philosophy is all about love for wisdom.
But what is behind wisdom?
There got to be something or someone there that you feel attracted to.
It wouldn't make sense to love nothing or none.
Actually it would be impossible to love something that is not there that is why
an attraction always go hand in hand with at least two entities.
You can love a stone or a river or anything else but wisdom goes well behind
any finite thing because anything finite can not give wisdom.
Love can be one way like when you love a river or any material thing.
It can be two ways when there is physical love and can also be two ways when
it is spiritual love.
Wisdom is all about trying to understand who is behind this spiritual love.
Yoga on the other hand is the practical way to get there so both yoga and philosophy
require a scientific approach to understand and to proceed towards the entity of attraction.
So yes philosophy is a science that is needed to understand and to discover something.
Science is all about discovering therefore philosophy fit in this discovering and when you discover
you can not possibly be in the darkness or in your case in a dark room as the discover is light not darkness.
