Why did god design us with a common opening for eating, drinking and breathing, that's stupid design, any first year engineering student could do a better job.

That was my thought as well. I felt there was a whole conversation that was missing in between Boru's post and your reply, because it certainly didn't seem to follow naturally.

I said that our physical laws are imposed and Boru said that it isn't. It didn't make sense because the laws of the universe such as laws of physics are imposed. Maybe someone could elaborate more on why the laws are not imposed.

Imposed implies that they are externally enforced, not naturally occurring brute facts. He was asking if you knew something we don't about these laws.

Pool seems to use the word "designed" in a very unusual way, to me indistinguishable from "exists".

Design doesn't imply purpose or planning. A design can be caused by random events too.

1. I don't think you can make the case the rules are imposed, Imposed implies there is an external force applying the rules, the rules could just be part of the system.
