Atheism the unscientific belief (part one, two, and three)
RE: Atheism the unscientific belief (part one, two, and three)
Only according to your limited physical science. You never thought about it did you? Consoling
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

But the consciousness of the rubber band is vastly in a superior plane above enrico's. How could that happen?I'm all ears!

The brain is composed of matter, thought is a function of the brain, without the brain there is no thought or consciousness; we cannot understand our non-physical thoughts without the physical tool called the brain or the greater physical tool called the body, with which we reach out and perceive reality. Without the physical world that surrounds us, our non-physical thoughts, our senses would have nothing to perceive, no language, no experience, no sensation, we would have no context, we would be suspended in a senseless, timeless void, we would be dead. We use the entire physical universe as a tool to understand our own minds.

Answering wrongly doesn't give you credit.

I give you top marks for your effort but unfortunately i have to give low marks for you lack of understanding how the system works.
But let us see in details.
The first part make sense as our consciousness is connected to the brain in such a way that consciousness
could not work without the brain.
That however doesn't mean that once our body die our consciousness can not take over and work even better as NDEs show us.
But let us come to the core of the question which you are not analyze at all.
This universe although very very big is finite.
The reality of positive and negative prevent the real progress and therefore prevent us from merging into the infinity.
So by trying to understand infinity in a physical way is impossible.
But progress toward the infinity is possible because human being are not only made of flesh.
The conscious mind if trained properly can reach the infinity and merge into it.
There is only one consciousness but this consciousness is divided into two parts.
It is like the iceberg.
The iceberg is one but there is the part above the water and the part below.
Consciousness works in the same way.
Most people think that the mind which by the way is not even the conscious is all we have
without realizing that below this known or emerged consciousness there is a bigger consciousness.
So to summarize we can say that we can not understand what is not physical using the little consciousness that is mainly connected to our physical side but it is possible to understand by
using the big chunk (so to speak) that lie in our subconscious.  Lightbulb

Gee, mate.  Hi
Your philosophy is absolutely outstanding.  Bow Down
I never thought about it Stim.  I'm all ears!
I consider you for one of my special kudos.  Clap
All these thoughts will let me think and think for month and month if not years.  Logic

(1)Baseless claim. Regarding NDEs, this is pretty interesting read: https://sciencebasedlife.wordpress.com/2...after-all/

One more skeptic.
Nothing new son.
I already explained in detail about NDEs.
These people were not hallucinated or using any kind of drugs
and their experiences lead to the same conclusion.
God is there, life after physical death is there.

Quote:(2)An interesting read regarding infinities: https://plus.maths.org/content/does-infinity-exist

There are thousand upon thousand of interesting reading.
One debunk the other.
Nothing new even here Red.
If infinity would exist in this universe we wouldn't have the positive and negative that balance themselves all the time.
We only would have the positive.
You never thought about that Red, did you?  I'm all ears!

Quote:(3)Baseless claims
Quote:(4)That's a false analogy

Wrong again Red.
If the consciousness that we have would be only what we are aware of then why do we think?
We think in order to sort of fish up the consciousness hidden in our subconscious.
You never thought about it Red, did you?  Wink  Think  Wink

Quote:Boring night.

That is exactly what happen when people rely on only the physical reality which doesn't lead to real progress.
You never thought about it Red, did you?  Indubitably

It is not possible. Very good argument Rik, very smart. *applause*
Now all you have left to do is to show evidence for something that is NOT physical which cannot be understood by using a physical tool.

Why is Philosophy and Religion off the hook when it comes to evidence?

If I told you water holds memory, you'd say homeopathy is a pile of nonsense. And you'd be right. But Chopra speaks bollocks, which can easily be disproved and millions let him off the hook. Why?
