Jews also had a death sentence tied to homosexuality.
Quote: It would seem, for the most part, however, that christians are a huge group against it. So, from a layman's POV, I would say that christians continue to be a catalyst in the war against gay marriage, or gays in general.
Christianity simply identifies it as a sin, just like any other and requires repentance from it.
In essence Christianity has the least serious response to Homosexuality out of those who see it as a sin.
"Least serious"? Leviticus says to kill them. Seems pretty serious to me.

Leviticus has over 600 no-nos. Of course the scripture cherry pickers aren't going to cite ANY OF THEM they find personally inconvenient.
I think that's a pretty good sign they don't take it any more serious than the atheists do. Funny the atheists are HONEST about it, ain't it ??
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

This is simply wrong.
Quote:Currently, the issue of homosexuality in Hinduism is controversial, especially amongst Hindus in countries where homosexuality is generally accepted. Hindu views of homosexuality are varying and diverse, in part because the accepted Hindu religious texts do not explicitly mention homosexuality.
Homosexuality is also a complex matter in Hinduism because of the many types of religious life. In general, "twice-born" Hindus are prohibited from homosexual acts (maithunam pumsi), such as in Manusmrti 11:174, which mentions both men and women.
On the other hand, the famous Kama Sutra states that homosexual sex "is to be engaged in and enjoyed for its own sake as one of the arts." In general, then, the Hindu evaluation of homosexuality depends heavily on the context.

So you are willing to admit their are indeed hindus who accept homosexuality??? How then is my above statement wrong for them?

Or are you one of those 'smart atheist' who does not understand the bible represents two completely different religions?
Christianity Per Romans 1 identifies Homosexuality as a sin (One among a list of many sins). and Per Romans two tells the christian not to judge/Act against those who sin as we are all guilty of this very same list on one level or another.

What's funny is your lack of a basic fundamental understanding between two religions represented by the one bible, and yet you speak as if you were an expert.

Even the greeks weren't quite as accepting as a thousand-plus of years of christian retconning might lead us to believe.
Is christianity responsible for the existence of anti-gay sentiment? No.
Are they responsible for their support of it and treatment of homosexuals due to it down through the ages? Yes.
Recently, they appear to have found their shame. I'll tip my hat to them on that count.
