Wow, well thanks for clarifying. Glad I wasted my time. Right. Hope you finally got what you wanted to hear.

Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Look up the Roman Catholic set of dogmas and believes. It's not comparable to what evangelists believe, who, often, take the bible literally.
I don't subscribe to it and I find it contradictory, but it opens various escape routes for everyone not wanting to subscribe to the letter of the bible. CL repeatedly said to take the OT as being an allegory. I replied with not having that luxury some 40 years ago when growing up a catholic. But cahtolics have now and that's what CL obviously supports.

And, in fact, this god condones it.

Well obviously it is to me.
Well then, like I said earlier, can we not agree to disagree here without grudge holding?

I have explained this for the last time in Post #618. Don't know what else you want me to say.

Not if our disagreement involves you insisting that I'm excusing the complicity of rape, torture, murder, and every single vile thing anyone has ever done.
Sorry. If I was a perfect person I could get over that too, but I'm not and I can't.

A logical argument is testable, and when you make any argument it is either logical or it is not - it's not a matter of opinion.
