The Israelites/Hebrews/Jews worshipped everything they could see or imagine. They had to have been the most superstitious twits of all time. They really loved worshipping the moon and every new moon was party day. Even some of the early Christians were moon worshippers.

They did and were punished for it, God warned them before they entered the promised land that there would be punishment coming to them if they took up any of the false gods of the people who were living there. This is why God wanted them to destroy everything in the promised land, to cleans it of the evil and vile worship that had been going on. Cults infiltrated the Christian church then and now, doesn't mean these cults are Christian.

How do you know the Quran isn't inspired by god?
How do you know the bible is?
The Judeo-Christian religion comes out of the worship of a national god.
Christianity comes from what Christ did in His life, death and resurrection. God formed the Jewish nation, the Jews did not form God. God used the Jewish nation to bring Jesus to the world, the OT gives us many prophecies about the coming of Jesus and His life, death and resurrection. Most but not all Jews have rejected the promised Messiah, why do you think they have suffered so much since Jesus ascension.
The Koran was written long after Jesus said the work of God in redemption on this earth was finished, was no need for the Koran and it's writers.
