I think those older types only liked the USB sticks. (Less current draw).
(1) There wasn't anything plugged into the USB ports at all, it was just a random warning that showed up when I plugged the TV in.
(2) The lines were why the previous owner was getting rid of the TV - I grew up with a rear-projection TV that had a screen that had similar sorts of lines on it because of the texture of the screen so I'm used to that sort of thing. That doesn't bother me so much.
(3) Apparently if you smack the TV just right the lines will go away, but I have yet to find the right location for the smack
LOL!
Those smacks tend to, sooner or later, damage what you're "fixing"...

Also, the location of my TV is next to the switch-controlled plug that my living room lights are plugged in to, so if I move the TV or the shelf it's on too much then my lights will flicker...
When I plugged in the USB last night to give the firmware update one last try, I bumped the TV and the lights went out
O.o
Flickering lights?
That shouldn't happen!
Are they properly plugged in? Don't your US plugs hold on to their sockets?

Heresy! Hitting things is the very heart and soul of repair work.

I believe it's called Percussive Maintenance.

Just a little brag... but this baby has been custom made, hand painted on the inside, has several filters on the top, front and back, has small black lights inside the plexiglass case, is liquid cooled (the yellow stuff in the clear tubes) and will be mine in a few months.
The keyboard changes colors as does the mouse. Comes with 1 terabyte of Hard drive space and 15 Gig RAM. :
Feel free to be jealous

I call this piece, "While My Guitarist Gently Weeeeeeeeeps".
A Christian told me: if you were saved you cant lose your salvation. you're sealed with the Holy Ghost
I replied: Can I refuse? Because I find the entire concept of vicarious blood sacrifice atonement to be morally abhorrent, the concept of holding flawed creatures permanently accountable for social misbehaviors and thought crimes to be morally abhorrent, and the concept of calling something "free" when it comes with the strings of subjugation and obedience perhaps the most morally abhorrent of all... and that's without even going into the history of justifying genocide, slavery, rape, misogyny, religious intolerance, and suppression of free speech which has been attributed by your own scriptures to your deity. I want a refund. I would burn happily rather than serve the monster you profess to love.
