OP, I have a suggestion for you. Why don't you and I switch places. I'll be a theist for a week and you be an atheist for the same amount of time. Let's see if our worldviews change after that.

I was trying to get you to adjust your attitude so our actual scientists here would take you seriously. You could have learnt something.

Rob's right, there's no way that people can provide a scholarly dissertation on planetary formation in a forum post. If you're happy to follow a link, here's one I recommend. It contains a thorough brief and links to peer-reviewed sources. If you're really interested in the subject and willing to learn, this is a good start for your reading material but there's nothing better than formal education. Reach out to your local Adult Learning providers.

It's a woeful false dichotomy. Either some stranger can present the entire study of hundreds of years of cosmology on a forum post, not even on a science forum, or else science and theology are the same. I never even claimed to be an expert on the subject.

Very rarely do people actually want to learn when they come here, they just want to reassure themselves.

And when the can't reassure themselves about their beliefs they put an indignant pose claiming no one answer their questions and mock their beliefs.

It's no skin off my nose. I don't care if the world was created as scientists describe or if some god magicked it into existence. Makes no odds to me. I'm just trying to spread some rational thought about the place.

I hope you realize that if that is a claim that requires evidence then that wouldn't just apply to God...

Like a drug addict, theists can't imagine one can live a normal life without drugs/god. They have to pretend we need evidence to disbelieve, when all they know are old late bronze age stories.

Alright, I will do the same then, everytime you ask me about evidence of my "God claims" I will tell you: "Okay, if you're going to play silly games, goodbye. I tried to help you. You're asking for a whole theological education on a forum post." and that is it. I asked a basical question: "How did this earth come into existence?" and absolutely no one answered me.

I am not surprised of what I discovered. You believe things with no basis for them, you just believe them because "the scientists say so". It says so on the wikipedia and on the internet and you believe it without any research because "it is science". This is just pathetic, and this is how almost all of the atheists in this forum behave towards me, they gave me absolutely no evidence for their claims and they mocked me for my beliefs. It is all a matter of belief, you believe your bunch of people and I believe mine.
