RE: Afghanistan
Maybe, lol......? Bet those pockets are currently attached to the suits of americans, too. If we wanted to find the money, we could. We don't. I'm pretty sure it isn't lost in the first place.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

At least the Iraqis had the decency to wait until Isis showed up before running away.

I don't trust any of our politicians to deal with this correctly.

RE: Afghanistan
The middle east is so fucked up..  I'm at the point where I don't believe there is a correct way to handle this.  If you pull out and just leave them to their own devices, they'll simply allow the craziest militant religious nutbag to take power.  Some asswipe who blames everyone but themselves for all their problems.  They'll be sprouting up terrorist training camps quicker than a Starbucks building in a hipster neighborhood.  We stay to keep that from happening, and we continue to sink billions of dollars into that shithole region.

At some point you would think the vast majority of the population, who simply want to live in peace, would "ball up" and take matters into their own hands.  It's as if they are lost if they don't have a brutal dictator threatening death or torture every minute of every day.  I truly feel sorry for those who are innocent and peaceful that live in the region.  What a fucking nightmare life to have to live.  You would think at some point they would wise up and say, "what the fuck has allah done for me"?

Quote:Afghan road crash inferno leaves around 70 dead

Quote:At least 73 people were killed on Sunday when two buses and an oil tanker burst into flames in a head-on collision in eastern Afghanistan, health officials said, in one of the worst road accidents in the war-battered country.

Many of the dead, including women and children, were burned beyond recognition and dozens of others were left wounded in the accident in Ghazni province, near the Afghan capital, one of the areas worst affected by the Taliban insurgency.

Fuckers can't catch a break, can they?

The Middle East isn't fucked up. It's only that hardly any Westerner tries to understand the rather complicated social and political affiliations. That's OK if any given couch potato doesn't understand it. It's not OK and worsens the situation if a foreign power feels the need to mingle without sufficient information. And that's the fuckup we're observing since 2003.
