If I could get away with paying women less for the same work why would I ever employ men? And you know that employers have this subconscious discrimination how? How confident are you that my boss is subconsciously discriminated against females? I'd like to see your evidence of how women are subconsciously discriminated at work. Empirical evidence? Sure, here's one: http://www.pnas.org/content/109/41/16474.abstract#aff-1
Sorry, I didn't click on the link, but I'll bet hookers aren't listed.

Did you type "him/her" and not "her/him" because you are unconsciously discriminated against females? If you can't know whether my boss is unconsciously discriminated against females because you haven't met him but are confident enough to say that bosses in general are unconsciously discriminated against women, it rises the question of how many bosses you have met with unconscious discrimination against females so as to generalize with such confidence. So tell us, how many unconsciously discriminated bosses have you met? (May 25, 2016 at 9:57 am)pool the great Wrote:(May 25, 2016 at 9:46 am)Irrational Wrote: Women * RE: Women earn less than Men

Well why don't you use the "evidence" you posted which apparently conducted a survey consisting of a few hundred people and tell me the probability of my boss being unconsciously discriminated against females, taking into consideration the billions of people that live on earth? You my brother, I'm getting more of a sister vibe but hey what the hell, need to stop generalizing people and start treating them as individuals. You yourself said that you were against gender stereotyping but you have no problem stereotyping the whole male population as discriminators against women. Furthermore your conclusions from that study are falsely arrived at. I'll tell you why, imagine I conducted a survey consisting of a few hundred women from my community questioning whether they are straight or gay. If the majority of the women responded as being straight, do you think it'd be reasonable to conclude from the study that women are straight? Because that is the analogical equivalent of how you arrived at your conclusions with the study you posted. You my friend, if you're a woman, which I think you are, need to drop your victim complex and work on yourself for self improvement, not blame others, not because it isn't necessarily unreasonable to do so but it is an unhealthy way to process defeat or failure, think of it as opportunities to improve yourself,if someone tried to take you one step down rise two steps up and smile at those that tried to take you down as you surpass them. If you're a guy, I want you to know that the only way a guy can be so concrete on the idea that females in general are unconsciously discriminated against is because you yourself got where you are from a mindset that women are inherently a weaker sex. Not all people have had the same experience of having fed the idea of a women being inherently weaker as a person, which I'm guessing you have been fed at some point in your life. Which actually makes a lot of sense because in your mind you as a man is clearly discriminated against women so all men must be like that anyone that says otherwise is lying, this is far from the truth. My friend, I was brought up to think of my mother as a hero, which she is, I was brought up to respect women for being women , I was brought up to not swear in front of women, I was brought up in lots of ways to see women as better than me, because they were women. So yeah, basically you need to check yo self before you reck yo self. I'm so glad I ended my post with swag. |
