Yet they call US "angry atheists"
June 2, 2016 at 9:24 pm
Yes, Bill Donohue of the "Catholic League" recently went on a rant about the Reason Rally in Washington DC later this year:

If we believe in nothing, if this meeting is nothing, and the speakers are all nobodies, then why are these hateful fanatics so obsessed with it and us?

Donahue's whole purpose in life is to try to distract people from the fact that pervert priests rape little boys.
It isn't working.

Did he really just imply that theists don't engage in groupthink? Because groupthink is how churches work.

The irony of it all a catholic calling atheists bad people when the catholic church has
done some real questionable and still does shit over the years and even recently stopping a
a bill that would give justice to those who were sexually abused as children. What a douche bag
its people like that guy that make me seriously make me think of being a anti theist but even
then their religion is dying off in this country anyways.

I love the psychology on display. It's the rant of someone scrambling for relevancy.
EDIT: Donahue, I mean

Yeah, that's sweet, isn't it? People like him read the surveys. They know the ranks of the unbelievers are growing daily while their herd of believers continues to shrink as the individual sheep die off and are not replaced. They would like to reverse this trend but they don't know how. They still have the upper hand here (in the USA) but they can see the writing on the wall. Their days are not only numbered but the end is within the horizon. They can see it so they become more and more shrill. It won't help them. Just like the Romans before them, their time is at hand.
Thank goodness.
