Bingo. Having guns readily available is a recipe for domestic injury and/or death. Our guns are locked up or locked when we're not at the range. But you come into my house with evil intent and I'll cut you all day and into the night.

I don't have any weapons in my house. I leave my doors unlocked much of the time. I am not in the least bit concerned that someone may have a desire to kill me in the night. Or day. If they want my TV they can have it. Last time someone came on to my property it was to bring a neighbourly welcome cake. I did threaten to "cut them down" but they said the cake had already been sliced so I let them in.

As can be seen from the Fucking Cops thread, the most likely intruders with evil intent are wearing blue.
