You can't think of any reasons that the US would care about Brexit?

That's all kinds of fucking idiotic.

I've heard stupider. Such as, candidate looks nice and tidy. That's not to say, this isn't a profoundly stupid reason for a political decision.

Yeah, it's really funny that we have a global economy, and the decisions made on one side of the globe affect the other. Hilarious, even.

Plus, it's totally impossible that people here have relatives or friends living over there.

Give her a few days for the pound to hit rock bottom and the global market working it's financial magic. The message may hit home yet.

IKR...I can think of a few billion...and that's just today.......the world needs to decide whether we're sinister corporatist scumbags or not, ffs. How am I supposed to meet their expectations, as an american, if they won't make up their minds?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

At about 1PM EDT, I saw that the world's economy lost ~$1 trillion.

Good job, old chaps.

So, when do we see Scotland and perhaps Northern Ireland leaving the UK? Within the year? 24 months?

I'm certainly not a financial magician or economics guru, but told you so doesn't even come close. Bit of chest pounding, since everyone with at least some basic shreds of economical understanding could have predicted that kind of outcome.
