Every time I've received money via PayPal, I get less than the person sent. It's a sliding scale, the more money sent, the smaller the percentage. It's about 3% on $500, and about 10% on $20

I've done some calculations and updated the cost breakdown:
$20 per month for server costs. $5 per month for server image backups. $5.60 per month for remote backups. $27.64 per year for domain renewals. Total: ~$33 a month before tax, or $43 a month after tax. If we aim for $50 a month then we have some leeway for unexpected costs, server upgrades, etc.
Seriously, even with Patreon fees, we should be able to eat that up and ditch AdSense.

Heck, with enough members here doing this, perhaps we could even rotate who donates so it's not the same people all the time.
