It isn't assumed tho Nap: it's reasoned. And the reasoning produces a positive result.

Are you talking about all religions? Or just your religion? If you're not supposed to ride faster than your guardian angel can fly then mine had better get a bloody SR-71.
Ad Hominem Nap. Try to respond to the points if you can.

Just saying something and declaring it as a valid point does not make it so. You're saying you have used reasoning to believe in purpose to life? SO WHAT? I could say i use reasoning to believe that pigs can fly, does that make it a valid point? NO.
He is saying his belief is instrumentally rational, it is one that he perceives helps him achieve his goals - This belief gives him a perceived purpose that adds value to his subjective experience.
Only if your belief in flying pigs did the same for you would they be comparable.
.
I've attempted to make rational counters all the time Nap. I never just say it without justification, as you're doing there.
Your reasoning for pigs flying could easily be refuted. If you understand my reasoning to be flawed then it'd be good for you to explain why, or we could assume that you have no such reasoning, as I'm doing. Typical christian rhetoric ... "I'm right cause my Bible says so and you don't have any points" It's like having a battle of wits with an unarmed man. He's not even close to being a worthy adversary. Do you read my posts? I've said right there why i don't believe you. Because you're basing your beliefs in one book. You are offering nothing other than this to prove your points.
10 pages of posts in a thread about what the Bible teaches, and the exegesis detector still reads "zero".
