Again, I am asking you, where were these same people whilst hundreds of thousands were being raped, murdered and tortured and forced to starve by Africas dictators? They are bit like Sunnites, in that (and it is a fair comparison) if the Palestinians had been Sh'ia muslims, not one tear would have been shed.

Who has been protesting against that?? Nobody that's who, maybe it's time for prioritizing.

What you have to realise is that many of the black population always go on about what the white population did to the African continent many centuries ago, and this is true, there is no point in disputing. However, I don't like the idea that is portrayed by BLM that if you are white, you are racist. As for prioritising, do you really think the African community in the USA give two hoots about what is happening to the people in Africa? Not one single thought. Let me tell you one thing and it winds me up the most, is the fact that Bob Geldof was the first musician to go to Ethiopia in the very early 1980s and he wanted to do something about it. Then of course, "We are the world', was released later. This is a shame that it took a white man to show the plight of starving Africans, whilst the others were too interested in their own lives.

You have no way of knowing where they were, you're just assuming. Maybe the same place you were?

I am in no way responsible for what some whites did centuries ago, and neither are you. I also certainly don't feel any guilt about my skin colour either.

Try 50, 60 years at the most. In the case of South Africa not even 30 years ago. Not centuries ago. It only started centuries ago. Are you quite capable of getting at least a simple fact right or are you just talking?

No, you're not responsible for what white people did not so long ago, since most of the African countries only got independance in the 50ies and 60ies of the last century. Some even as late as in the 70ies, 80ies and 90ies. But there's a difference between feeling responsible and taking responsibility for a not so glorious past.

I don't think any of the white generation of today should ever feel guilty about what happened to others. If that was the case, we would all be blaming each other until the end of time. I mean, do you think the generation of blacks in Africa today still accuse their ancestors of selling their own families to the White, Hispanic and Arab slavedrivers. Does anyone on this forum think about the Irish slaves in America, do you think their descendents of today hold all those Americans responsible for what happened to their ancestors? How about the Chinese? What about Japan and pearl harbour, or how about when Japan had an atom bomb dropped on them? As far as they are concerned, they let bygones be bygones and now outcompete the United States on most fronts. Instead of wasting your life hating, it is better to be productive and be happy, just like the Japanese.

I never heard anything like that in Manchester, and the Mancunians are pretty warm-hearted and convivial. Same with Portsmouth, very few "brown", people there but again, I have never heard anything like that and I have seen Portuguese, Spanish and even Italian or people from the south of France and no, the worst you are going to hear is "frog", which is not racist in any way, shape or form. In fact, I use it quite regularly with my french colleagues. They call me rosbif, but then, I am not as sensative as you. I bet you are the sort of person that should someone call you name something trivial, nothing major), you'd be the first to knock the guys head off. Then again, that is the difference between you and me. I don't take things personally or to heart. You should give it a go, before you turn into this:

I second this, prevalent as fuck in Birmingham where there's a very large number of "brown" people. The P-word is used to smear anyone remotely "brown" ranging from darker-skinned members of my (Maltese) family down to the darkest-skinned Indians. I got told I "sound like a Paki" when I spoke Maltese once, because the language is derived from medieval Arabic.

Sikhs also regularly get confused as Muslims when Muslims don't even wear turbans (for the most part)

"Ironically like the nativist far-Right, which despises multiculturalism, but benefits from its ideas of difference to scapegoat the other and to promote its own white identity politics; these postmodernists, leftists, feminists and liberals also use multiculturalism, to side with the oppressor, by demanding respect and tolerance for oppression characterised as 'difference', no matter how intolerable."
