Kind a new agey and foreign to the nature of the OT deity, no ??
Which OT deity? There are several Names.
I'm just saying if God does not objectively exist then the ideation of God is a projection of Man and grows and Man's grows. That's all.
There are common religious themes that are pan-cultural, and religious stories are clothed in the cultural development of their times.

There are common religious themes that are pan-cultural, and religious stories are clothed in the cultural development of their times. So god is pretty much the same as any other concept then. I don't see how that adds anything to this topic.
I don't believe you. Get over it.

Okay then my answer to the OP would be: "We stopped inventing them because we have enough representation to refine the form."

What kind of representation?

What kind of representation?
Representation (in story form) as an extant, living, eternal infinite. That some kind of vibration started creation, usually described as a "Word" or self expression. Representation of the story of the "Savior Son of God born from a virgin" in many cultural mythos. The further back you go, the simpler and more symbolic the story is, the further in time forward that more anthropomorphized it has become.

That explains how one set of religion has stopped progressing. That doesn't explain others though. The question was about new gods, not the assertions of religious ideas that already existed.
That being said, I'm not entirely convinced that I agree with the original question. I won't get into that right now though.

Well then in ecological terms, I would say the the current forms of religion have filled all available niches and there is little to no room for less competitive forms....till a stronger one comes along.

Is Allah a new god, or an old one under a new name?

See, that makes much more sense. Thank you.

Happy to be of intelligent service.
