LOL, well I definitely agree with you on that one! It absolutely does NOT follow. These people are nuts. [emoji12] But yeah, I'll get you some more references so you can see for yourself.

I completely agree with you, so I'll quote myself here because I feel it bears repeating:

If demanding that the highest grade of scientific evidence be demonstrated before believing in things like talking donkeys, walking on water, magical fruit, and zombies is being a "hyper-skeptic", then I'll proudly wear the label.  [emoji41]

Well to be consistent and avoid special pleading, you would need to do that for all things. From my point of view, I do think that we may (or even need) to accept things on faith or trust. But that doesn't give us any more reason to believe them. We can't realistically check everything out. Do you think it is fair for people to be hyper-skeptical about evolution?

Absolutely, because skepticism doesn't mean "refuse to accept." Skepticism means that you will not accept a proposition as true until the proper evidence has been demonstrated. Fortunately for evolution, the evidence is abundant.
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

Then you haven't looked.
I don't believe you. Get over it.

Nope. I'm just responding to your eye-rolling dialogue with some of my own.

I agree.. I got tired of rolling my eyes, and decided to give this view a shot.....albeit it with consistency.
And the view does give the burden of proof an interesting twist.
