Someone, Show me Evidence of God.

RE: Someone, Show me Evidence of God.
Quote:So only when Jesus asserted it, it became true? What about the quote he was referring to in Psalms 82:6, written around 897 BC?

No, Jesus' assertion doesn't make anything true. But YOU said that Augustus was taking his cues from Jesus, not from the Psalms (for the record, I find it pretty unlikely that Augustus would have known much about OT scripture, either - he had quite a lot on his mind).

But in any event, Augustus was made a god, he never said or acted in a way which would imply he agreed with the claim 'Ye are all gods.'

Well it's been a fun tangent. Popcorn

. . . ah yes, the shear[sic] thrill of making shit up and convincing yourself that you have learned something. . . and calling it "God."
So...you want God, but not all of God, just enough to walk around with and talk too? Seems reasonable, how long have you sat still for?
Who says I want God. If there is a mystery behind the veil, something so deep that it allows for existence and my own mind, I will not call it "God." It will be greater than God.

Quote:I have wrestled with God on my own, and worked out my salvation with fear(awe) and respect. I rely on no one else, no appeal to consensus, nor to scriptural authority, nor any individual cultural mythos.  I can stand on the waters I have collected, clarified, and then dug for on my own, finding my own well spring inside me. And I can turn those water's into the wine of joy.
It sounds like you can turn it into pride. My guess is that you are in your early 20s, and that you see in yourself great potential, amirite?

What would you call it?

If you don't take pride in the work you do. Don't do it.

Nope. I see great potential in losing my relative anonymity and privacy for life and I'm not too fond of the idea.

I swear upon God and or Jesus.

At least make it a specific god.

Don't make me go back through history and fetch for you the multitudinous, pan-cultural concepts of the original God/State of existence prior to the universe being an infinite undifferentiated substance.

As pointed out previously, your claim that the universe was 'infinite' is just an unsupported claim and nothing more. Since all your ridiculous 'elaborations' stem from that basic assertion, they too are unsupported. In other words, you got nothing.

Then you haven't been reading. I've never ever said the universe is infinite, I have repeated asserted it is finite and provided description and pictures of it's specific finite shape. I said the singularity before inflation is infinite.

Sense all you comments stem from that basic misunderstanding, they too are unsupported. In other words, read better.

I'm sure you can help an idiot out and show me where a spatially finite singularity is supported by scientific evidence. I'm serious.

The size of space is infinite but the matter is finite and streches apart.

Are you taking pre-inflation or now?

It's your claim that the singularity was infinite. It's yours to support. I read just fine. Your claim about dark matter relates to the ratio of an infinite stack of spheres.
