Sounds like you had it in the right gear for that hill, you'll give yourself a heart attack trying to take hills in low gear. If you shift to the smallest front sprocket and then wander your way up through the drive sprockets at the rear, you'll find the one that gear ratio you best. From there, as you become more accustomed to the physical demands, you'll work your way into the lower gears that will increase your workout.

I wish I could still cycle. I used to ride over a hundred miles a week, road and trail, and there's something special about having good music in your headphones (I don't do earbuds!) and getting a good groove going with your legs. 'Twas the only exercise I ever considered fun.

Thanks for the advice... yeah I know what you mean about headphones, I have a pair of wireless headphones I use for walking but I'm currently cycling with traffic so that doesn't seem prudent. There's a trail not far from my house though...

I can see covering a lot of miles on wheels over walking, I put almost 25 miles on my Crocs last week and when I get better at this I should be able to smoke that on two wheels. Right now not so much, but I'll learn.

The thing I need to watch out for is not making up for the soda by eating other sugary things. Diet soda also makes you crave more, but I think it's easier to quit. I've heard reducing sugar intake gives you energy and helps your skin. I really need those two, especially the skin.

My parents knew soda wasn't very good but they didn't know how serious it was, so I was allowed to drink soda as a kid :/ Can't really blame them, they didn't really come from the most advanced country, I remember 2011 in Kurdistan. The internet was a USB you charged, it was sooo fucking slow, holy sht.

Luckily I haven't gotten any problems from the excessive drinking, there's still time to undo.

I quit the full-sugar stuff and am entirely on the sugar free drinks at the moment. But even sweeteners are harmful, so I've been drinking more and more tea lately.

Nice. I like tea, but I don't like warm drinks unless it's breakfast, I'm going for water now and maybe milk, I need proteins.

Yeah, been drinking a lot more water lately. Not a fan of milk unless it's in tea, personally.

I don't mind the taste of milk, but it really gives me the brain freeze, I don't like brain freezes.

I feel Rozkek is too cool to not have an avatar. I feel I should repeat my avatar joke once more again.

I need to know what you look like if you looked like your avatar!
