After watching the Jurassic Park marathon today....
I really feel as though I could take on a couple of raptors.

C'mon raptors, bring it; Let's do this.

We'll see how well your "coordinated attacks" stand up against my voodoo.

I miss my wife.

Been a strange couple of days, emotionally up and down. Went out last night to play the open-mic, supposed to meet a gal there. She didn't show up, and I found myself on the back porch smoking where I ran into a couple of friends, and the coolest conversation started up, with another couple of folks joining in -- politics, religion, the whole nine yards. And while we had diverse views at the table, there was no ugliness, not one moment, and it was really sweet to experience that disagreeing agreeably vibe. I made a new friend and touched base with an old one.

And then today, I've been in a funk, again ruminating on the failures, omissions, and misdeeds I've committed over the last year ... so I've been working it off by killing NaZis in an old wargame I have, playing a little guitar, and generally being slothful and unproductive.

How am I feeling right now? I'm feeling like I did the best I could given my own weaknesses, and feeling like asking any more forgiveness is too much trouble. I'd rather walk away than crawl towards.
