Seems like more evidence, than what you have appealed to.... if you would like to discuss, then I'll be here.

Really?  Because I can go grab a copy of the myths anytime I like.  So can you.  We can hold them in our hands.  They exist, their existence -isn't even in question-.  Meanwhile, the historical jesus is, to you, just an exercise in improvisational forum theater.

I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I thought that we where talking about The position of Jesus as a myth.  And I am looking for whatever position you are putting forth....  but from your question, I gather, that your position is not based on logic and reason, or any evidence, rather than pre-supposing  the conclusion in the premise.

Rhythm: Showing Jesus as being able to peform magic is reason enough to consider him a mythical creation.
Roadrunner: Y u no talk about Jesus being a myth?

Seriously Roadrunner, you should read your opposite number's comment before giving out to him about it.

Of course Jesus, as written, did not exist. All that remains is to try and see what the stories might have been based on in reality.

People existed back then of whom hundreds could probably fit an extremely vague summary of the story, minus the obvious fiction. It's not really anything impressive. "Guy goes around claiming to be the son of god. Fools a few people with some tricks. Gets a bit of a following. Makes himself enough of an annoyance to get executed."

I'm not really sure what you are saying Taz,

But I do think that it is becoming evident that the rejection is not about evidence and reason.

More theater, still no evidence of historicity. I don't even know which jesus -you think- is the historical jesus. It would be nice if you would, at least, tell us that.

Rhythm made a statement that clearly demonstrated why he thinks Jesus is a myth, and you gave out to him for saying nothing about the mythicist position. Is that too hard for you to understand?

You are quite correct, your position has never been about evidence or reason, as demonstrated by you giving out to Rhythm that he says nothing about the mythicist position, right while quoting him saying something quite concrete on the mythicist position.

Theater = Not accepting you shifting the burden of proof?

I;m sorry, which one of us claims that there was some historical magical man?  You don't feel that this is the sort of thing you might have to establish?

From what I have seen, a brief description has been given given is all (and insistance that there is no conspiracy theory involved). No reasons or evidence for the mythicist position. It appears to me, to be mostly an a priori bias, which rejects any evidence, and then bases it's claims on there not being any evidence.

I was hoping for more; but in twisting my words, I fear my hopes of a conversation where perhaps too much, and I should have just expected the normal sophism.
