I won't pretend to understand what you go through, I can only say that in my recovery, especially early recovery, but also later during times of tension or upset, the emotional swings were dramatic, cued by tiny, often unnoticed things, and really goddamned intense, be it anxiety, depression, or happiness.

I hope your physiological treatments have the emotional effects you mentioned earlier. You're a good guy and like everyone else, you deserve to be happy too. May you find a way to there.

Yeah, to anyone who hasn't experienced it, it's really hard to describe. I can be coping okay one minute, then for no apparent reason, everything goes to shit in my head. Everything seems hopeless, existence is painful. I just want to die, and I can't think about much else. It's really hard to pull myself out of this, although eventually it passes. Gentle loving care speeds up the process. But it lasts as long as it lasts. It's scary to have no control over such emotions. When there is a trigger and/or accompanying thoughts, at least I can address them. Just feeling utterly hopeless in general is really hard to deal with.

Thanks But it was a couple of days ago... just cashing in, pressie wise, last night really. I've got a cold at the moment and it was worst on my birthday so that was quite a miserable day really, but it's starting to feel a bit better now so I could finally start enjoying myself
