Alright so the other night I got a little too stoned and began rambling to my roommate about how karma is a natural force in the universe that also adheres to the conservation law like energy. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense now...

He is saying he wouldn't assume YOUR claim is true without evidence. Again, got any? Logic is a great place to start, but you also need actual supporting evidence, otherwise you haven't properly demonstrated your claim. Got any?

So you have two tasks ahead of you now Rick:
1. Demonstrate some sound logic 2. Back it up with evidence I'll be waiting.

Your "logic" was that you can't even get evidence because karma exists is in another dimension; but since you want mystical forces to be true, you have to dismiss the simple truth that it is nothing but chance. I do believe, however, that there is a social homeostasis in place that causes poverty to perpetuate across multiple generations. A child is born into poverty because the parents are poor, not because of something the child did in some other life. It has very little to do with luck, and everything to do with human behaviour. Life teach us that nothing come for free. We as individual build up what we got. If we born from poor parents is because we fit in that particular jigsaw puzzle. Nothing really to do with the bad luck to be born in a poor situation. The chances that the universe exist after billions of years due to luck are next to zero therefore it is obvious that a mind run it. Atheism is all based on guessing and nothing else. Atheism also rely most of the time on physical science and it is this science that contradict atheism. You never thought about that Lady, did you? Nothing is dead in this universe. Even a stone vibrate. There is energy and a dormant consciousness even in what seems dead. The very science that atheism rely upon will soon give the magic kick to that trifle called atheism.
Karma is a religious invention to make sure the slaves remain obedient out of fear of what's gonna happen to them in the next life.
