If it's supposed to be a joke by any chance, try harder.

Well, you see....-before- he felt as if he was somehow muzzled by those godamned socialist lib'ruls and their endless rules about what was and was not appropriate to say.  He, like many of his fellow trumpsters...now..however, believes that the election of trump was somehow a liberation from those people and a rejection of  the validity of their social strictures. Further, that it wasn't trump who was elected, but the lesser hobgoblins of his mind.

In short, he feels more comfortable being who he has always, very transparently, been. The benefit of the doubt only applies when there is lack of knowledge and precedent regarding a person. Neo, here, has a history, lol. This sort of shit has been busting through the cracks in his posts ever since he joined. He's a usual suspect.

It's like turning a stone, actually. You never know what you will find. But it's never pleasant.

I think the problem is the idea of the wall is now in popular culture to stay. I never thought he'd be able to build it, it's a ridiculous notion. A lot of people, apparently, thought it was a great idea, and even though it will never happen, they will now use the idea of it as a vocal weapon.

Happens to me all the time, especially with jack and coke...I couldn't copy paste by shortcut at all last night, lol..had to take apart the keyboard and clean it.  You'd think I'd just stop putting my drink on the desk, or reading the boards while drinking....but that's like, 85-90% of the fun and I'm not exactly a fully rational being in any case...so, lol.

Alot of people thought it was a great idea a decade ago as well, when Shrub half assed his border fence.

Quote:The Secure Fence Act of 2006’s goal is to help secure America’s borders to decrease illegal entry, drug trafficking, and security threats by building 700 miles (1,100 km) of physical barriers along the Mexico-United States border. Additionally, the law authorizes more vehicle barriers, checkpoints, and lighting as well as authorizes the Department of Homeland Security to increase the use of advanced technology like cameras, satellites, and unmanned aerial vehicles to reinforce infrastructure at the border.[1] Congress approved $1.2 billion in a separate homeland security spending bill to bankroll the fence, though critics say this is $4.8 billion less than what’s likely needed to get it built.[citation needed]

Writings been on the wall, or the fencepost, or the fuselage of drones, or on the faces of nubs standing arm to arm or however they all collectively imagine it was going to work...for some time

Why?

There's historical precedent, as I said. Not so long ago, something like that ran smack in the middle of Europe. I grew up virtually looking at it, since it was only 30 miles removed from my place of birth. It was called the Iron Curtain.

It's not outlandish, it just requires the shoot everything that moves approach and a lot of funds.

Call me naive, I guess.  I thought we were past that kind of thing.

But honestly, the main reason I thought it couldn't happen was cost.  The kind of wall he described was prohibitively expensive, and him threatening to make Mexico pay for it?  lol. How?  The US cannot afford it though.

Finish the fence?  Yeah, I guess he might do that.  But our southern border is a lot longer than the Iron Curtain, and has more natural barriers preventing full on wall building as well.  It's not like it 1.5k miles of flat barren desert like some Trump supporters apparently think it is.
