When it comes to religious crap, the Eastern European countries all are one or two decades bahind. Poland is something to watch for, with their newly elected religious rightwing radicals.

I guess, it's because dusing communism, the churches were something fancy, standing up against the state. Eastern Europeans still have the most religious persons as well as the most raving rightwingers.

Orthodox church in Russia doesn't like punk-protest bands that invade churches and wants them dead or at least behind bars untill the go to hell, but at same time is targeting metal bands:
