Well no one has to respect anything. Including democracy. Disrespect is not a thought crime.
People have to stop fucking rioting because they don't like a result though, indeed. Violence is a piece of crap.

Intolerance towards the election? Have you seen the left lately? The protests, the petitions, the riots. How deliciously ironic and stupid of you to say. I'm intolerant of someone who wants the country to burn because their candidate didn't win? Yeah I'm intolerant to irrational points of view, good eye sparky. You're defending a guy who wants the US to burn for having a democratic election. Get lost you hypocritical regressive.
If the hypothetical idea of an afterlife means more to you than the objectively true reality we all share, then you deserve no respect.

Damn, that's a serious icepick you've got up your ass. Do you really think he literally meant he wants to throw the country into a fire? Of course it's irrational, of course it's hyperbole.
Looks to me like you've spotted a neat-o chance to beat up on someone for ill-chosen words and are trying to make the most of the opportunity. Here, sit down, take a deep breath, and have a cup of coffee. No one gives a fuck if you're more righteously American than him.

Yeah looks like your manners were another victim of your slaying. Run along now.

For all you atheist Trump supporters, there's an interesting factoid going around. It's being reported that Trump's original pick for secretary of education was Jerry Falwell Jr.
Let that one sink in.

Why do you even think that's needed? Michael Pence tells the tale well enough. All the borderline fascists around the world intrumentalise religion for their goals. In Poland it's quickly moving into the direction of theocratic fascism. That's why I can't find any explanation for anyone being an atheist or belonging to some social minority rooting for that kind of scum.

I don't really care either way, it's just 4 years, we'll manage... if we can at least act as sane adults ourselves.

The election proved that isn't a realistic expectation.

As long as people support Trump, apparently it is needed. If I have to endure four years of an internet troll being president, I'm going to take every opportunity to point out how foolish it was for people to support him.
Besides, with Pence, atheists can at least dismiss it as necessary pandering to the religious right by nominating a fundie to a largely meaningless position. No amount of mental gymnastics, however, can ever justify putting a hardcore creationist in control of our education system.
