You can say anything you like about LR.
What you can not say is that LR believe in Giacomino the elf like most atheists do.  Smile

Who is Giacomino the elf?
In every country and every age, the priest had been hostile to Liberty.

There is no evidence that these are clear and sharp experiences, and since we know the way memories work, we also know how unreliable they are in such circumstances.

How do you explain that Ton?
It is not unusual for people to have such reactions after traumatic experiences.  Religion and spirituality work mostly by emotion, and such experiences can elicit very strong emotional reactions.

Quote:3) And what about the hundreds of people that after an NDE dump their religions in favor of spirituality?
And why most of those who didn't care about anything after their NDE experiences become theists?
See above.

Quote:Sorry son.
You keep on following fantasies in your denial that there is no God.
And you keep on coming up with shitty 'evidence' for the existence of a god, and I'll keep pointing out why it's shitty.

In denial again Ton.  Banging Head On Desk

Where is the evidence that a dead brain can put together clear and sharp experiences that are remember even after many years?
Show that to me Ton if you have some.  Smile

So if the brain can not do that guess who can Ton?

Oh, no Ton maybe better keep on dreaming about your fantasies that a dead brain can do that.  Wink
Christmas and the fairies are coming.
Better not stop your fantasies.  Smile

There is no evidence that a dead brain can do anything, since it is dead. You still do not get what the phrase NEAR death experience means. You also do not understand how memories work. It's pretty clear why your belief system is so bizarre. You draw from a deep well of willful ignorance.

Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Are you kidding me Fat?

I would have thought that all atheists believe in Giacomino the elf but I must have been wrong.
You must be the exception to the rule so let me explain who is this Giacomino.

Giacomino is an elf that penetrate and take possession of the mind of people.
He convince them that the universe pop up as per magic and nobody run it.
The elf is so convincing that people lose control of their free thinking and logic in favor of fantasies and become atheists.  Lightbulb

This elf try even with me but when I put this logic sign  Logic in front of him he took off very very fast.
A bit like when some people put the crucifix when the devil appear.

I hope you realize that with your comment you sink more and more in the gutter of ignorance.  4 Horsemen

If the brain is dead then who on earth and sky can put together an NDE experience?

Try to think Ton possibly by using some logic as well.  Lightbulb

That's my point. A NEAR death experience is not a DEATH experience. How can you not understand that? I cannot break it down any simpler than that. How can you use NDEs as evidence of anything when you don't even know what they are?

Your point is dead wrong Ton.  Banghead

If the brain is dead then something else must be there to put an experience together.
And guess what Ton.
Only the consciousness can do that.
Unfortunately you live inside a corral of dogma and it is impossible for you to realize that.  Lightbulb

So close; and yet...
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

I can only assume that you're being willfully ignorant now. If the brain is dead, you are dead. If the brain is NEAR death, it creates an experience that isn't real.

You have no evidence of "something else." None. Pretending that near-death experiences are something that they are not in order to push a belief is dishonest. If the only thing you can dig up as evidence isn't evidence, then it's time you found some less-ridiculous beliefs.

Fool. Banghead

Where is your evidence that when the body-brain die also the consciousness die?
Did the physical science ever said that?
So who are you to say that the consciousness follow the dead body-brain to the dogs?
In fact physical science tell us that energy can not be killed or better say vanish into nothingness.
Considering that energy and consciousness are the two sides of the same sheet then also consciousness
never die or disappear.

You never thought about that Ton, did you?  Banging Head On Desk

Easy- we know that what you describe as "consciousness" is a property of the brain. When the brain dies, "consciousness" goes with it.

Now... prove me wrong...

Quote:Considering that energy and consciousness are the two sides of the same sheet then also consciousness never die or disappear.
...and while you're at it, prove what you just said here, as well.

Of course not, I'm not as batshit insane as you are.
