That they don't take your beliefs as seriously as you do.

Just as many people of faith mock others of faith, their beliefs, their deities.  Or how they mock non believers.

So...you are simply describing disrespect. Got it!

Most of them will wait until the day they die. For the few others, only until they wise up.

You know the old saying, "Hate the sin, not the sinner?"

Well that also works with, "Disrespect the belief, not the believer."

Unfortunately people are too thin skinned and take comments about their beliefs as a personal attack.  Hell, I've had believers who take my lack of belief in their deity as a personal attack against them.

It's ok.  You lost, that's all. You bet on the wrong guy.  No biggie. Always room for one more in the atheist community.

Or the prophecy was about the destruction of Jerusalem and more importantly the temple. Since the temple had been the way to communicate with God, it was no longer needed. The new paradigm was the spiritual kingdom of God that anyone had access to.

I think I will stay here thank you.  Smile

So you don't believe in the rapture?
Jesus is like Pinocchio.  He's the bastard son of a carpenter. And a liar. And he wishes he was real.

Yes I do, but what does that have to do with it? Jesus was not talking about the rapture. To give you an idea about "The Kingdom of God" in the NT: https://www.openbible.info/topics/kingdom_of_god

I agree, however "hate" and "disrespect" are two very different things, well at least in my eyes that is.

If someone where to spout out something so ridiculously pathetic and truly not worth any of my time I wouldn't necessary respect them, I wouldn't hate them though.

Agreed.   We can argue the wording but I believe the premise, in general, is sound.

Welcome, by the way.

Disrespect? I don't look at the human race as hopeless sinners in need of salvation. How about you Steve?
