I love how funny language can sound.

I love how funny language can sound.
I was just watching the morning weather and the lady said, because we had lots of rain last night, said "Standing water"

Yea yea yea, I know, but still, I don't know about anyone else, but I have never seen "standing water". I think if you see "standing water", you need to stop smoking, injecting whatever, and or get your meds adjusted.  Big Grin

Insurance companies sometimes differentiate between "standing water" and "running water". Basically, a flood or accumulation of rain will be deemed "standing water" and a broken main or pipe will be deemed "running water".

It's the humor section silly. Water doesn't have legs so it cannot stand or run.  Big Grin

If you see "running water" you might have the same issues.  Big Grin

Lots of people use metaphor I like semi 4. Not exactly 4 but similar to 4.

You can't fly to crazy, you have to be driven there . . . .

Personification is pretty funny if you stop and think about it I agree.

Ardent contrarians don't worry about such things as subforums.
