Doesn't matter, either Huggster is misinformed, or god is lying.
There was a -bit- more time between, for example.....the "creation" of the earth in day 1, and the formation of oceans...in day 2. Day 3, where do we start? Day 4, the stars...seems to predate the previous days...regardless of how many thousands of years a day is. Day 5, year 5k, or 6k, depending on how we count.....all the life in the water. Day 6, land creatures.
Huggy made his fairy tale falsifiable. Time itself did the deed, then, of demonstrating it to be false.

He has a habit of doing that, doesn't he? Man-serpents and all. [emoji6]

I seriously believe you have reasoning issues, plus I'm being snarky.
Quote:Yes...supposedly reasonable and fair according to Christians.
There's a lot of Christians, so I suppose there are some who say that. I don't, and in my reading neither does the Bible say that God is reasonable and fair in the sense you're using those terms. Rather, God is holy and just on the one hand, and merciful and gracious on the other.
Quote:That's the assertion. And what followed was my answer to your question which was: what do I think god should have done, assuming for the sake of the argument that this assertion is true.
Your answer boils down to, God should simply change his thinking on what's right and wrong to match my thinking on the subject. Yet, if I said you should simply change to match God's judgment, you'd likely protest that you can't simply change your beliefs.
Quote:Got it...?
But you're not trying to be snarky...

Chapter and verse Huggy, or we'll know that you're lying.
Not that I've much doubt because, unlike you, I've read the fucking shitty diatribe and nowhere does it say "a day to yhwh is a millenium to us" or an equivalent.
2 Peter 3:8 But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

So you claim to have read the whole bible but couldn't be bothered to read this thread where I've already quoted the chapters and verses?

Someone doesn't appreciate poetry. So, what are the choices again?
1. Random nutter is right, and magic book is wrong
2. Random nutter is wrong, magic book can't be shown to be demonstrably false on this count, plus contains poetry (bonus).
It seems like it would be a no brainer......

What you mean is the book ill defines a basic measure. Another example of why it is useless.

Time is not a basic measure, it's relative, meaning it can be measured differently according to point of view which is EXACTLY what the scripture 'defines'.
Do you guys lose the ability to apply basic reasoning skills when it comes to discussing anything Bible related?

Please explain relative time.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
