If god exists and Heaven is something hoped for, by those who are saved from their sins while they continue to live and sin, why do Christians go on living?
Why not escape the troubles of this sinful sin filled earth and find a way to kill themselves, so they can be with god in paradise forever?
While there are passages in the Bible that speak of the body as a temple of god and seem to imply suicide is not the answer, nothing expressly says don't kill yourself. And why should it? Jesus came to earth knowing full well it was a suicide mission, to take the worlds sins upon himself. Funny that, because there is still sin in the world.
Not to mention cause for the faithful to end it all being the book of Revelation. Chapter 7 and 20 respectively.(Revelation 20:15)Those destined to enter heaven, 144,000, have their names already written in the Book of Life. God's angels sealed the servants of god in their foreheads, (like the mark of the beast contained in the palm of the hands and the forehead.Nice.), so as to designate what members of what tribes of the House of Israel would enter Heaven.(Revelation 7:1-11)
That Christianity is nearly 3, 000 years old one would imagine given when the Book of Revelation was authored and that those 144,000 alluded to are spots already filled, even when Revelation was a prophetic book. And the 144,000 is a particular designation for those Jewish males who have never defiled themselves with women (Big oops there for Christian non-virgin gentiles), what's the point of living as a Christian?
The book that Christians believe is god's immutable word informs life is all for nothing, even for those saved, if they're not in keeping with that certain criteria to enter Heaven. Otherwise, per Revelation, no matter if they're saved those not in the number of that marked 144,000 (Sound familiar to JW's?
) , are to be thrown into the lake of fire.
So the destiny, orchestrated by omniscience, is set. So, why continue living according to the word, when the word says it's all for naught?

"In life you can never be too kind or too fair; everyone you meet is carrying a heavy load. When you go through your day expressing kindness and courtesy to all you meet, you leave behind a feeling of warmth and good cheer, and you help alleviate the burdens everyone is struggling with."
