Am off to Berlin in September

I've booked a twelve day holiday in Berlin from 4th to 12th September this year. If any of our Teutonic (or trainee Teutonic) members are in the area at the time, drop me a line.
Or even if anybody wants to suggest stuff for me to do in the city for the twelve days  as a certain nonsensical member would put it.

It's just a 2 hour train ride north for me. If we could meet on a weekend, I might be able to come up. I really want to see Berlin, anyway! And by mid September, we should have a) time and b) money to make a little trip like that, and meet up with you for lunch or beers or something.

Never been to Berlin. Only Frankfurt. For all I care its a regular european city, except that I havent spoken german as of late. Ich liebe dich fraulein is the only sentence that I know only to be met with a weird look when you say it to men. What does it mean?

Cultural: The Museumsinsel (esp. Pergamon), see the best Orchestra in the world, the Berliner Phil on their home turf if at all possible.
Other: Don't stay in Mitte! seek out the pubs and scene in the famous suburbs.

Frankfurt thotgh very important, has some interesting museums and landmarks, but isn't that great and not very pretty.
