It's a thing, sure, and it's happened to plenty of folks in the US, obviously it didn't kill you.....but you can understand how strange comments like that are..yeah? There's just nothing to be glad about..and the subject is genital mutilation.

I'd like to state for the record that I do not discriminate at all over the issue of circumcision. I will not reject any penis simply because it is or isn't circumcised. There is no room in my anus or mouth for discrimination!!

Ya gotta allow a little room for their POV Astonished. It's normal to them. Every day of their life they've looked down and seen cut peen. In the locker room, they;ve seen mostly cut peen. The ratio of cut peen in the US is 80some-odd percent at present...but the ratio of baby boys getting cut -today- has dropped below 50ish. 20 years from now this conversation will likely be very, very different. The only places left in the world where cut peen is common are muslim majority countries.
There's been a cottage industry of cut peen apologism in the US for some time. We're all products of our environment and circumstance.

But hey, if it's a 'better him than me' kind of thing and it taught the family a valuable lesson by making a mistake, so much the better, that'll save future generations from the same fate and ultimately be more benefit.
