I'm actually having a bit of an atheistic irony moment - I was thinking I should try head scarves or something that doesn't scream "I have cancer!!" the instant you see it so I was googling some options and found a blog of, I think, a jewish woman doing demo's of different ways to tie head scarves.
So hmm... as an atheist I'm against religiously mandated hair-covering, but on the other hand I have cancer and I don't want my head to be cold because I'm bald...

Also,
FANTASTIC NEWS!!!
I just got a call from my doctor telling me that the results from my imaging last week came in and there is no evidence of metastatic spread in my organs or bones and the only things that showed up on my MRI were the two known tumors and some already suspected enlarged lymph nodes (suspected because I had one biopsied and it was positive)
Also, I shaved part of my head already. The rest of the hair is going next weekend after I start chemo on Friday. Be nice to me and I might post some photos (emphasis is mine)

I'm sitting out on my porch, a little mosquito-bitten, playing a nice little minor-key blues on my guitar. I think I've found a song, the second in two days.

OMG is there such thing as routine ear surgery for a 2 yo?
Hope everything goes to plan, Alex.

Simultaneously kicking myself for a newbie mistake with my MX records, and feeling relieved that the issue I worked on for a week that stemmed from that mistake is now fixed.

Well.... the power went off here then came back on. 10 minutes later two police cars come down my street with their spotlights on, hitting every house on their way through. I figured something must be up so I check out local fire station log and evidently a car hit a pole and flipped over up on the main street. You can see the road from my house. The accident was just out of my view (other houses were in the way).
Not exactly sure why the cops were on my street though. My neighborhood has one way in and one way out. Listening to the scanners now because I have to stay awake to get the other half up for work. Being as the power went out, his alarm clock reset so now it won't wake him up when it's supposed to.

Maybe the driver fled the scene?

I sure hope not.... might have been armed. That'd be scary, especially around here.

She's in there right now... It's liquid that's stuck behind the eardrums that can't get out because some canals are blocked, obstucting her hearing.
