I wonder.... does the color red look the same to me and to you?

Does an orgasm feel the same for a man and for a woman?

Can an animagus transform himself (or herself) into a human of the opposite sex and find out the answer to the above?
Or do animagi only transform into animals of the same sex as themselves?
Can they transform into hermaphrodites? or species that change gender as they age? Or asexual species?

Does magic require conservation of energy?

Where do super-heroes get the energy for their super-powers from?

How can a species evolve on a planet with a red sun and be average human-like... but become super when exposed to a yellow sun? It only has a few higher frequency photons... sure, a bit more energy, but... how did evolution put that ability in there?

Speaking of superheros. I sometimes wonder "am I the only one who thinks this is the most hilarious superhero ever?"

No, you've been a mug for being mugged by a complete mug with a mug that was your own mug. So you've been mug-mug-ubermug-mugged mugged by yer mug, ya mug.

Borricious

Edit: P.S. I also have an oversized coffee cup. It must be a total freaking awesome dude thing that we both share together as total freaking awesome dudes. Do you know how to make your very own DIY sunset so we can walk together under it with our massive mugs? (That's not a euphemism).

Wait! I'M SOBER RIGHT NOW! You know when I'm drunk because I stop correcting my typos Tongue

I may be 'an autist' though (seems to be the latest YouTube insult LOL).... and apparently ADHD is on the autism spectrum now.

I went to bed at 1.AM and I have woke up at 5.AM and I am still fucking exhausted and sleepy but my mind is too hyper and racing to get back to bed. It's not mania though. I may have a manic personality in general but I think I only ever had a truly manic episode once. Hmm okay maybe twice Tongue And one mini one Tongue

Anyhoooooooo. I don't think it's a mood thing. WAIT WHY ARE WE TALKING ABOUT ME LETS GET THOSE COFFEE MUGS AND THAT SUNSET!

One I was wondering at the dentist the other day is why are tooth nerves so ridiculously sensitive.  What use would pain be that it causes so much suffering that someone can faint from it.  In a situation where you're going with pain, it means there's some kind of a threat and a problem to solve, what is the benefit of going out of your mind with pain to the point of being unconscious.

Why do teeth even have or need nerves?  Once they're grown in, what's the point in having these bony protrusions meant to mash and masticate food into a literal pulp be these sensitive things poking out of our gums?  Is the tongue not sensitive enough for the mouth to figure out what it's doing?

I can only conclude it's one of those evolutionary things that didn't have enough of a disadvantage that it was never selected against.

(1) you don't have to become an animagus to answer these questions, you just need polyjuice potion.  We already know from Book 7 that you can use polyjuice potion to transform into a person of the opposite sex because Hermione and Fleur both transform into Harry when they go to get him from the Dursley's. (I am a huge nerd, but I also happen to be reading this book at the moment so it's not all super-nerdiness that causes me to know the answer to this question) Tongue  So, the answer to your "could you find out" question would be yes, as long as sex happens during the hour you're transformed using polyjuice potion. *

(2) I would presume that an animagus transforms into an animal of the same gender as oneself, unless the animal is inherently hermaphroditic like some kind of worm or if biological gender-transformation is an inherent quality of the species.  We already know that there don't appear to be species limits on what kind of animal you can transform into - like only mammals or whatever - because Rita Skeeter turns into a beetle, and there are fan theories that Dumbledore could turn into a phoenix - in fact, that he could turn into Fawkes (unsupported, IMO) - but we don't know if that applies to limitations like air-breathing animals: if you transformed into a fish but weren't anywhere near water, would you basically immediately die?

* Speaking of polyjuicing into another sex, specifically woman-to-man, while I understand that this is a young adult series and this sort of this wouldn't really be the sort of thing most people would be comfortable with their kid reading about, but Hermione comments on how bad Harry's eyes are when she transforms into him, but says nothing about that the fact that she now has completely different-feeling gentials, specifically genitals that now touch parts of her legs that nothing previously touched.  THAT would be the thing that I think I would most notice if I changed sexes using polyjuice, not how bad my eye sight suddenly became.

I don't know what sort of experience a man-to-woman transformation would have - would the experience of having breasts be similar at all to a scrotum? I suppose it would have to do with the size of said breasts and how impactful they are on the woman's physiology. :S

I have also long wondered why there isn't more illegal polyjuicing going on at Hogwarts, especially boy-to-girl transformations (for, I think, obvious reasons).  If a clever first year study can brew it, surely a NEWT-level sixth or seventh year could.  They have probably made it in potions, or, as Draco does, could have access to the properly brewed potion and be able to steal it.

SO MANY QUESTIONS!!!!!

Hmmm.... Polyjuice potion.... I remember it going a bit wrong... with some cat hair in the mix, IIRC...
But an animagus, like Prof McGonagall, can do it with a wave of the wand.

If you're going through the trouble of changing into an animal, I'd guess you could take care of creating a suitable environment for it, first...
Or just.... transform into something that could live within your present environment?

I assume that clothing remains in place... so things should be minimally constrained... not dangling and touching the legs Tongue
But that would depend on what type of panties Hermione wears. A thong might be too constraining!

Scrotum just is.... hanging and lightweight enough not be noticed unless it gets in the way of something.... hmm.... I can foresee someone just transformed into a man and sitting quickly and mindlessly enough for that to become a problem.
Breasts, I guess, are also, usually, not seen as weighing anything significant, right? But I can also foresee a mindless person bumping them into something unexpected...

I see you haven't been allowed in the little back room in the Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes.
Shit, not sure I should have said that in the open forum! Keep it a secret. Good thing Wizards don't know about the internet.

And all they need is a tiny tent - bigger on the inside - to reproduce any environment they wish... just think of the dating potential!
Take your date to a huge canyon, with a tall snow-capped mountain to one side, and a grassy plateau on the other, a meandering river at the bottom. a triple moon overhead and a glass bridge where you can stay for ages!
You wanna go?

But there are several more examples of polyjuice potion being used in the books where nothing goes wrong - Harry and Ron into Crabbe and Goyle; Barty Crouch into Mad-Eye Moody for a whole year; Crabbe and Goyle as random students in Half-Blood Prince; the seven transformations of the Order members into Harry; Ron, Hermione and Harry into Ministry employees to find Umbridge and the locket... you're focusing on the one time in the books where it went wrong and forgetting that that's far outweighed by all the times it went right.

And the point of the animagus transformation is to turn into a non-human animal anyway.

But I don't know, necessarily, that you can control what kind of animal you would turn into.  The best guess at this point is that it might be based on some aspect of your personality.  There may be limitations on the spell that we just don't know about because they never come up in the books.

I would expect this kind of assumption from a guy. Bumping into things, really? LOL

As for the weight issue, I've actually been wondering about this for personal reasons...

I know some women have large enough breasts that it causes separation of the ribs in their backs and other general back problems, so weight can be a significant thing.  This is at least one reason why breast reduction surgery is an option some women choose.  Having boobs can be a real drag.

Maybe Poca just assumes having breasts would encumber their owners just as a wag wag between the legs does for us. Not always convenient .. to say nothing of the extremely pain prone boys we carry in that sac.

The aunt I stayed with in South Carolina when we went there to see the eclipse had reduction surgery. All the women on my mother's side are greatly encumbered/endowed. But she was the extreme and did have back issues. She actually described the surgery and I was a little squeamish. Apparently the nipples are removed and then reattached someplace that makes sense after the initial reduction surgery. Now this is the same aunt who has proven to have a weak grasp on the facts in other situations so I still don't 100% believe it. Picturing a room full of women's nipples kept on life support while their poor bewbies mend gives me a major revulsion reaction. How can something so fun cause so much agony.

Apparently as a species we have been selecting for bigger breasts and penis size for a long time. We're pretty much freakasaurs of the animal kingdom for our size. You women not only have breasts ahead of needing them, you're also receptive for mating whether any eggs are ready to go or not. We're weird.

Why are humans so special?
They're just animals... the same as the others... and if you're magically retaining all the cognitive function of your original self, there's no need to alter your brain mechanisms. So it's just the same!
Also the polyjuice potion went wrong one time in the books.... how many times did an animagus screw up their transformation?

I don't know that either, but one must assume anything goes. We're talking magic, after all! Not just some physics pre-determined machine.

yeah... I was thinking of sitting at a table and leaning on it for some reason, only to find some dangling bits rubbing against it, before a guy would expect to even be close to the table.

I think I once heard that the average breast weighs around half a kilo.... so... one pound?
Both combined, 2 pounds. hmmm I wonder if that's where they came up with the unit of weight for the pound? Tongue

Aye... I've heard the same... from someone who claimed to have some 2kg on each. And she also considered having a reduction.... and yes, whatevs, the nipple repositioning is a thing. Which means no ability to breastfeed, ever, because all the connections are severed.... as well as all the nerves.
It must suck to loose all sensation on there. Undecided
