My couch, Sofia, gets lonely, bored and michievous if I don't sit on it frequently. Swallows my cellphone and any other small objects.

Think it's a bit fed up with my high fibre diet at the moment though.

I'm 99% sure I'm not in denial about anything (That I know of), but I agree about the negativity.  I was reading through the comments on a blog I posted in and someone - some alt-med asshole - asked how I could simultaneously be so pathetic, stupid and proud of the fact that I'm getting conventional (i.e. REAL) treatment for my cancer.

My response was because it's fucking working.

Can't beat that metric.

What I really didn't need where the pictures in one of the articles...

I'll run this by the doctor, but it looks like my hot flashes are occurring about every 6 hours or so. I'm sweating all over now and temp here is swinging around.

Every 6 hours my Norco wears off. And I take another and the temp/sweating thing clears up till next dose.


Just knowing what it is really helps.

Doing nothing in particular. In an hour I'll watch a rebroadcast of Monday night's football game. I watched half of it last night, but went to lie down at half time and only listened to the second half. There was a lot of scoring in the game, so I'll enjoy that part.

my system is getting acclimatized to the Norco. I'm even getting to the point where the constipation side effect is clearing on it's own.

The sweating and temp swing are worrisome because it makes me think I have a post op infection, that's why I keep checking my temperature and it's always Ok. And that's a relief.

When I had the West Nile Fever, I noted some temperature effects and sweating too, so it just seems like I should be vigilant about an infection. My incisions look fine, they've been fine since the operation. I just know about MRSA and strep and all the other nasties that are running about.

I don't want to relax about the sweating and temperature issue, I could still pick up a bug, but checking my temp with a thermometer every 6 hours just isn't 'me' either.
