Oh, such a pure act.
I think the context of the scripture is not of literal sex but of God's nations turning to other gods, as to cheat metaphorically.

So then, in context (that you would prefer), it becomes what, a real estate deal gone awry? Are you unable to admit that there is serious violence going on, and that as a human being it all seems very uncomfortable? Obviously if a god existed maybe he is a sadistic fucker. It's not like my level of comfort would have any sort of determining effect on god. It just seems that the constant "prince of peace" line gets sabotaged a little what with all the scourgings and gang-raping.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

No, not a mere real estate deal gone wrong. The nations and people of the nations were saved by God, freed by the wrong already rampant in the world. But instead of following God and choosing what is right, they choose to satisfy themselves with what is not God. The justice may be uncomfortable but what other change can come, when the change(God) that did come, is rejected? If you read all of ezekial 23, it tells of what his nations did and since it is spoken to a prophet(no prophet should be acknowledge if what he says does not come true) it is prophesy.

Maybe pain is the only way to affect us or influence us. It may be uncomfortable but could experience come through coddling or knowing nothing is wrong.

You may need someone to beat you senseless, I don't. What a monstrous assumption. Keep that shit to yourself.

I have never known the world to not be full of affliction and suffering. Caused only by humans to the rules of observation and the ones against that very act are often killed or persecuted. Maybe you just dont want to admit it.

C Rod reminds of a woman who gets beaten by her husband, and when the cops show up, says she deserved it.
